The .nbt and .prefab.json formats
A structure-block .nbt file is Java Edition's structure format — a block-state palette and positioned blocks. A Hytale .prefab.json is Hytale's prefab format: a JSON list of positioned blocks referencing Hytale's block names. The conversion maps the structure's Minecraft blocks to their closest Hytale equivalents and writes a prefab for a Hytale project.
How to convert .nbt to .prefab.json
01
Select the Java structure block's .nbt file.
02
Check the Hytale block mapping in the 3D or layer preview.
03
Keep .prefab.json selected and download the Hytale prefab.
When to use this conversion
Use this route to move a vanilla Minecraft structure into a Hytale build or map project as a reusable prefab.
Compatibility notes
Minecraft and Hytale have different block sets, so each block maps to the closest Hytale match and some may have no exact equivalent. Review the preview and the missing-block report before using the prefab.
