The .litematic and Java world formats
A .litematic file is a Litematica schematic — regions of Java block states with placement metadata — designed to be pasted into an existing world. A Minecraft Java world is a save folder with region (.mca) files and a level.dat. The conversion writes your Litematica build into a fresh Java world folder, delivered as a .zip, so it loads as its own singleplayer save instead of a schematic you have to place.
How to convert .litematic to Java world
01
Upload your .litematic file in the converter below.
02
Review the build in the 3D or layer preview.
03
Keep the Java world format selected and download the .zip, then unzip it into your saves folder.
When to use this conversion
Use this route to explore a Litematica build as its own Java world without pasting it into an existing save or running the Litematica mod.
Compatibility notes
Load the world in a Minecraft version that recognizes the build's blocks. The build is placed in a generated world; blocks from newer versions may need a matching client.
