The .litematic and .mcstructure formats
The Litematica .litematic format is a Java-side mod format with one or more regions, a block-state palette, and placement metadata. Bedrock's .mcstructure format stores blocks as little-endian NBT with Bedrock identifiers, ready for structure blocks and behavior packs, and keeps liquids in a separate layer. The conversion merges the Litematic regions, maps each Java block to its Bedrock counterpart, and writes the Bedrock structure layout.
How to convert .litematic to .mcstructure
01
Upload the source .litematic file.
02
Review the mapped blocks and build dimensions.
03
Keep .mcstructure selected and download the Bedrock structure.
When to use this conversion
This route is useful for moving a Java community build into Bedrock tools, add-on workflows, or a world where a structure block can load the converted file.
Compatibility notes
Edition-exclusive blocks and Java-specific states may be replaced by their closest Bedrock counterparts. Redstone behavior and block entities should be tested after import.
