The .schem and .mcstructure formats
A Sponge .schem is a Java WorldEdit format built around minecraft: namespaced block states in gzipped NBT. The Bedrock .mcstructure format uses little-endian NBT and Bedrock block identifiers, split into a block layer and a second layer for waterlogging and liquids. Converting maps each Java block to the nearest Bedrock block and lays it out in the two-layer Bedrock structure a structure block or behavior pack can load.
How to convert .schem to .mcstructure
01
Upload your Java .schem file in the converter below.
02
Check the Bedrock block mapping in the 3D or layer preview.
03
Keep .mcstructure selected and download the Bedrock structure.
When to use this conversion
Use this route when a build was shared as a Java .schem but needs to load in Bedrock Edition through a structure block, behavior pack, or the /structure command.
Compatibility notes
Java and Bedrock do not share every block or block state. Waterlogging, block entities, and edition-exclusive blocks use the nearest Bedrock mapping, so verify them in the 3D preview before exporting.
