The .gltf and .mcworld formats

A .gltf file is JSON glTF — a scene of meshes and materials whose binary data may be embedded or split into side files. A .mcworld is a complete Bedrock Edition world: a zipped save with a LevelDB block database and a level.dat. The conversion voxelizes the glTF mesh into Minecraft blocks, maps them to Bedrock, and writes them into a fresh world that opens as its own save.

How to convert .gltf to .mcworld

01

Upload a self-contained .gltf file in the converter below.

02

Choose the build size, rotation, and block palette in the preview panel, then apply.

03

Select .mcworld as the export format, download the world, and open it to import it into Minecraft Bedrock.

When to use this conversion

Best for large models — buildings, terrain, sculptures — that you want to walk through in game rather than paste into an existing build.

Compatibility notes

Use an embedded .gltf, since external .bin and texture references are not resolved; .glb is the safer export if in doubt. The world is generated flat around the model, and very large build sizes are limited mainly by browser memory.
