Convert .obj to .schem
Turn a 3D model into a Minecraft build. Bloxelizer reads your .obj — along with its .mtl and textures, if you select them too — voxelizes it in your browser, and exports a WorldEdit-compatible .schem.

The .obj and .schem formats
.obj is Wavefront's plain-text mesh format: a list of vertices and the faces between them, with colours and textures kept in a companion .mtl file and the image files it points at. A Sponge .schem is the opposite kind of thing — gzipped NBT holding a fixed grid of namespaced Minecraft block states for WorldEdit and FAWE. Converting between them is a voxelization rather than a re-encoding: the model's surface is sampled onto a block grid at the resolution you choose, and each sampled colour is matched to the nearest block in your palette.
How to convert .obj to .schem
01
Select your .obj file — together with its .mtl and texture images, if it has them — in the converter below.
02
Set the build size, rotation, and block palette in the preview panel, then apply.
03
Leave .schem selected as the export format and download the result.
When to use this conversion
Use this route when you have a model from Blender, Maya, or a 3D asset site and want it as a buildable Minecraft structure you can paste with WorldEdit or FAWE.
Compatibility notes
Colours only survive if you select the .mtl file and its texture images alongside the .obj; an .obj on its own voxelizes as untextured geometry. Large build sizes produce schematics that some servers refuse to paste, so check the block count in the 3D preview before exporting.
