The .stl and .mcstructure formats

An .stl stores only triangles — the geometry-first format of CAD and 3D printing, with no colour or material channel. A .mcstructure is Bedrock Edition's structure format: little-endian NBT holding Bedrock block identifiers, a second layer for liquids, and the size a structure block reads on load. The conversion voxelizes the triangles into blocks, then maps those blocks to their Bedrock identifiers.

How to convert .stl to .mcstructure

01

Upload your .stl file in the converter below.

02

Set the build size and choose the block palette in the preview panel, then apply.

03

Select .mcstructure as the export format and download the structure.

When to use this conversion

Use this when the target is Bedrock and you want the shape placed with /structure load — in a map, a behaviour pack, or a world you are already building in.

Compatibility notes

The .stl format has no colour, so block choice comes entirely from the palette you select. Structure blocks cap at 64×64×384, so keep the build size within that if you want to load it in a single piece.
