The .stl and .mcworld formats

An .stl file is a triangle mesh with no colour or material information, produced by CAD tools, scanners, and 3D printing workflows. A .mcworld is a complete Bedrock Edition world: a zipped save containing a LevelDB block database and a level.dat. The conversion voxelizes the triangles into blocks, maps them to Bedrock, and writes them into a fresh world you can load and walk through.

How to convert .stl to .mcworld

01

Upload your .stl file in the converter below.

02

Choose the build size, rotation, and block palette in the preview panel, then apply.

03

Select .mcworld as the export format, download the world, and open it to import it into Minecraft Bedrock.

When to use this conversion

Use this route for large models — architectural exports, terrain scans, sculptures — where a structure block's size limit would get in the way and you just want to explore the shape in game.

Compatibility notes

Because .stl stores no colour, the palette you select decides how the build looks. The world is generated flat around the model, and very large build sizes are limited mainly by your browser's available memory.
